The role
Samsara is hiring a data engineer for its Data team to build SparkSQL and PySpark pipelines that feed its central data lake from IoT devices and software products. The role is remote and open to people living in the US.
What you will do
- Design and maintain data pipelines in the central data lake
- Transform IoT and product data into the core data model
- Deliver reliable data sets, including customer-facing ones
What they ask for
- BA/MS in Computer Science, Statistics or related field
- 4+ years in a data engineering role
- Experience designing data models at scale
- Experience with Spark-based data platforms
- Git/GitHub experience
- Public cloud experience on AWS, GCP or Azure
