Who we are
Work Remote Job (workremotejob.com) is run by Sequence Business Services Pte. Ltd. (Sequence SG), UEN 202346260R, 140 Robinson Road, #09-02, Tahir Building, Singapore 068907. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at support@sequence.sg.
What we collect
When you browse
- Our own visit counts. For each page view we store the page, the referring site, your country (from our hosting provider's IP lookup) and whether you are signed in. We do not store your IP address. To count unique visitors we keep a one-way code made from your connection and browser that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked from one day to the next. This uses no cookie.
- Google Analytics, described under Cookies.
- Server logs kept briefly by our hosting provider to run and secure the site.
When you create an account
- Your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google profile picture. If you sign up with a password, we store only a secure hash of it, never the password itself.
- What you tell us you are looking for during onboarding: fields, specialties, skills, levels and country.
- The jobs you open and the jobs you press apply on, so your account page can show your history and we can apply the free daily limit.
- Feedback you send us, with your rating, and whether you allow us to show it on the site.
When you become a member
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us your plan, its status and renewal date, and keeps the customer and payment records it needs.
When you import your CV or profile
- What we keep. If you upload a CV (PDF or Word) or paste your profile, we store the file and the details you confirm from it: headline, location and time zone, years of experience, work history, education, certifications, languages, skills with levels, links, and the email and phone number written in the CV.
- How it is read. The file or text is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which reads it and suggests these details. You check and correct them before anything is saved.
- Who sees it. Only you and, when needed to run the service, our team. Employers never see your CV or profile; they only see counts, such as how many job seekers have a skill, with small groups hidden.
- Your control. From your account page you can download your stored CV, delete it, or delete it together with the profile read from it.
- How long. While your account exists. If you do not sign in for 24 months, we delete your CV. A CV you uploaded but did not confirm is deleted after a day.
Why we use it
- To run your account, show jobs that fit what you asked for, and keep your history and preferences (performing our agreement with you).
- To read and store your CV and profile when you choose to import them, so we can match you with jobs (your consent, given when you upload; you can withdraw it by deleting your CV).
- To take payment and manage your membership (performing our agreement with you).
- To understand which pages and jobs are useful and to keep the site secure (our legitimate interest in running and improving the service).
- To remember your country and measure visits with Google Analytics cookies, only if you choose “Allow” in the cookie banner (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use advertising cookies or share your data for advertising.
Cookies
Until you choose in the cookie banner, only the cookies needed to run the site are used. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- Sign-in cookies (set by our sign-in system) keep you signed in. Essential.
- wrj_consent remembers your cookie choice, for one year. Essential.
- wrj_prefs remembers what you are looking for if you set it before creating an account, for one year. Set only when you save those answers.
- wrj_loc remembers your country, for one year, so job lists show roles that hire where you live. Only with “Allow”.
- _ga and _ga_<id> are Google Analytics cookies that tell repeat visits apart, for up to two years. Only with “Allow”. Without your consent, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode that sets no cookies.
Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages to process payments and prevent fraud.
Who processes your data for us
- Vercel: hosting and delivery of the site, and counting page views and page speed without cookies (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights).
- Cloudflare: private storage of uploaded CVs (R2), and the “verify you are human” check on sign-in and CV import (Turnstile).
- Neon: our database, hosted in the United States.
- Stripe: payments and membership billing.
- Google: “Continue with Google” sign-in, and Google Analytics.
- Anthropic: reading job postings, and the CVs and profiles you choose to import, to find skills and experience.
- Resend: sending sign-in emails, when you sign in by email link.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and may store it outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers are covered by contractual safeguards. When you press apply, you go to the employer's own site; we do not send them your details, and their privacy policy applies to anything you give them.
How long we keep it
- Account, preferences and history: for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete them.
- Your CV file: while your account exists, until you delete it, and no longer than 24 months after your last sign-in. The profile read from it: while your account exists, until you delete it.
- Payment and invoice records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Our own visit counts contain no direct identifiers and are kept to show trends over time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete your account and its data, or to stop using it for a purpose you agreed to. Depending on where you live (for example under Singapore's PDPA or the GDPR in the EU and UK), you may also object to some uses, ask us to restrict them, or receive your data in a portable form. Email support@sequence.sg from the address on your account and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, passwords are stored as hashes, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Work Remote Job is for job seekers and is not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to how we use your data, we will tell signed-in members before it applies.
