The role
1Password is hiring a Manager for its Security Incident Response team, to lead responders who also build automation and AI-assisted tooling. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Threat Operations and is open in Canada and the US.
What you will do
- Build, lead and develop a team of incident responders and security builders
- Set the incident response roadmap, including agentic response, threat hunting and insider risk investigations
- Scale team capacity with AI-assisted tooling while keeping human approval, auditability and rollback
- Oversee detection, triage, containment, remediation and post-incident learning
- Act as incident manager and escalation point for complex, high-severity events
- Balance incident work, strategic projects and team development across competing priorities
What they ask for
- 5+ years in security incident response
- 2+ years as a people manager or technical leader
- Experience building incident response automation, tooling or AI-assisted workflows
- Experience managing high-pressure security incidents
- Understanding of cloud-native, SaaS and identity-driven attack techniques
- Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences
- Located in Canada or the US
