The role
GitLab is hiring a Professional Services Technical Architect to lead customer engagements from scoping through delivery, covering GitLab deployments and migrations to GitLab. The role is remote and based in the UK, with up to 50% travel at times.
What you will do
- Design and deliver GitLab reference architectures for self-managed and cloud environments using infrastructure as code
- Lead source code management and CI/CD migrations to GitLab, including large moves with Congregate
- Produce high-level and detailed technical designs that match customer requirements and the SOW
- Coordinate implementation work across GitLab staff, partners and customer contacts
- Build delivery kits, documentation and training materials, and mentor consultants
- Support scoping and SOW creation with engagement managers
What they ask for
- Based in the UK, remote
- Up to 50% travel at times
- Delivered two or more of: SCM migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, CI/CD consulting
- Enterprise software development experience
- Hands-on deployment of infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments
- Strong written and verbal communication with customers in an asynchronous setting
- Willing to maintain 55% billable utilization
