The role
The company is hiring a FinOps data engineer to cut cloud costs across AWS and GCP and own the data models behind cost and margin reporting. The role is fully remote and the company hires globally.
What you will do
- Find and deliver cloud cost savings across AWS and GCP
- Build and maintain the FinOps data pipeline and mart tables
- Model unit economics and margins by product and segment
- Automate cost reporting, anomaly detection and alerts
What they ask for
- Hands-on data engineering with dbt, Python and BigQuery
- Experience with AWS and GCP billing and usage data
- Background in data analytics, engineering or science in a FinOps context
- Clear communication with engineering, finance and leadership
- Familiarity with Linear and Notion, or willingness to learn
