The role
The company is hiring a Data Annotation Specialist for data science and coding tasks, reviewing and debugging code and assessing how its models handle data analysis and visualization. It is a part-time contractor role for people in Canada, on a 12-month contract.
What you will do
- Evaluate model responses to coding requests, workflows and codebase questions
- Assess agent trajectories for code generation, tabular and chart manipulation, and debugging
- Prompt models on complex data science tasks and check the accuracy of the results
- Label, proofread and improve machine-written and human-written software engineering outputs
- Report quality and performance trends in model and agent behavior
What they ask for
- 3+ years of industry experience on real-world data science problems and pipelines
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills
- Proficiency in Python and data science packages such as numpy, pandas, matplotlib and sqlite
- Strong SQL and familiarity with Markdown, JSON, XML, YAML and HTML
- Prior experience rewriting, proofreading and giving feedback on code
- Located in Canada, 16+ hours per week, with your own laptop
- Plus: familiarity with code agents such as OpenCode, Claude Code or Codex
