The role
The company is hiring a Software Engineer for Ceph and distributed storage within Cloud Engineering, building software that drives OpenStack, Ceph and Kubernetes. The role is remote, based in EMEA or the Americas.
What you will do
- Write well-designed Python and Go software
- Develop and maintain software for delivery, operations and life-cycle management of Ceph storage
- Debug issues and write code to fix them
- Contribute to documentation on best practices for writing operators
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team and field teams serving customers
What they ask for
- Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or a similar field
- Experience writing modern, maintainable Python
- Experience with Ceph storage
- Experience with two or more of: Linux, Kubernetes, public cloud, OpenStack, LXC/LXD, Go, Debian packaging
- Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events
- Located in EMEA or the Americas
- Nice to have: operating Ceph in production, other open source distributed storage
