The role
The company, a remote-only company building software for short-term rental hosts, is hiring a Senior Product Engineer to work on its core platform and growth features. The stack is Laravel and Angular. Candidates should work in European or American time zones, up to the East Coast.
What you will do
- Build and maintain core platform features and product workflows for customers
- Ship new features from zero to one and iterate on customer feedback
- Work in the Laravel monolith on Kubernetes-based infrastructure as code
- Set up observability to track and debug after deployment
- Fix performance and resource problems and bugs with the most business impact
- Refactor core code to make it easier to understand and test
What they ask for
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, focused on backend
- Significant production experience with Laravel, PHP 7+, MySQL and testing pipelines
- Hands-on use of agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or Copilot in a real production codebase
- Strong written communication, since work happens on Slack and Notion
- Self-motivated and comfortable deciding amid uncertainty
- Work in European or American (up to East Coast) time zones
- Plus: queue-based backends and third-party API data ingestion
