The role
Nextdoor, a neighborhood network, is hiring a Senior Manager of Analytics Engineering to lead a lean team that delivers datasets, dashboards and data products. Hybrid work applies for people near its offices.
What you will do
- Own the vision for Analytics Engineering and report priorities and impact to leadership
- Set standards for metrics, data governance, documentation and SLAs, and oversee data quality
- Build and coach the analytics engineering team
- Prioritise the roadmap with data science, finance, marketing, sales, product and engineering
- Expand self-service data through documentation, training and enablement
- Guide ETL/ELT pipeline practices and code review
What they ask for
- 10+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering or analytics, with strong SQL, Python and data modeling
- 3+ years of people leadership in data teams, including hiring and coaching
- Experience defining semantic layers and building dashboards, with Looker preferred
- Experience operating ETL/ELT pipelines with validation and monitoring
- Strong cross-functional communication to define KPIs with finance, product and engineering
- Experience driving projects end to end
- Use of AI tools in daily work
