The role
GitLab is hiring Site Reliability Engineers across its Infrastructure Platforms teams, from intermediate to senior staff level, through a single application. The role keeps GitLab's production services reliable. Open to candidates in the United States and Canada only.
What you will do
- Keep user-facing services and production systems reliable, scalable and efficient
- Build automation and tooling that replaces manual work with infrastructure as code
- Operate and troubleshoot production systems on Kubernetes
- Ship changes through CI/CD and GitOps
- Take part in on-call, alert triage, incident response and post-incident reviews
- Contribute to observability using metrics, logs and SLOs
What they ask for
- Experience keeping production systems reliable, combining operations and software engineering
- Experience building new infrastructure tooling, such as Terraform modules or Kubernetes operators
- Ability to read and debug code; most teams use Go, some use Ruby
- Experience with infrastructure as code and Kubernetes
- Willingness to take part in on-call
- Based in the United States or Canada
