The role
GitLab is hiring Site Reliability Engineers for Infrastructure Platforms in a single application covering Intermediate to Senior Staff levels. This posting is open only to candidates based in the United Kingdom.
What you will do
- Keep user-facing services and production systems reliable and scalable
- Build automation that replaces manual work with infrastructure-as-code workflows
- Operate and troubleshoot production systems on Kubernetes
- Ship infrastructure changes safely through CI/CD and GitOps
- Join on-call, triage alerts and improve runbooks
- Contribute to observability using metrics, logs and SLOs, and join incident reviews
What they ask for
- Based in the United Kingdom
- Experience keeping production systems reliable with real software engineering practice
- Experience building new infrastructure tooling, such as Terraform modules or Kubernetes operators
- Able to read and debug code; most teams use Go, some use Ruby
- Infrastructure as code and Kubernetes experience at a depth suited to the level
- Willing to take part in on-call
