The role
Figma is hiring a Software Engineer for its Infrastructure team, working on distributed systems behind its real-time collaborative design tools. The role is full time and can be held remotely within the United States or from a US hub.
What you will do
- Design, build and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure systems.
- Architect distributed systems such as storage platforms, streaming infrastructure and compute orchestration.
- Build internal platforms, CI/CD systems, build tools and APIs to improve developer experience.
- Debug complex production issues spanning services and layers of the stack.
- Help shape platform strategy and roadmaps, and mentor other engineers.
What they ask for
- 5+ years of software engineering, specifically backend or infrastructure.
- Solid grasp of distributed systems concepts: sharding, replication, consistency.
- Experience with a cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure), infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration.
- Proficiency in languages such as Go, TypeScript, Python, Rust or Ruby.
- Strong system design skills and experience architecting resilient production systems.
- Based in the United States.
