The role
Affirm is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Card team, building backend systems for the in-app experience of Affirm's card products. The role is remote and open to applicants based in Spain, with visa sponsorship available.
What you will do
- Break larger projects into tasks and deliver them in phases
- Work with product, design and analytics on ideation and trade-offs
- Monitor metrics and support on-call efforts
- Take part in interviewing
What they ask for
- 2+ years as a software engineer
- Experience building backend systems, proficient in Python or Kotlin
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes
- Comfortable navigating a large code base and doing code reviews
- Must take part in an on-call rotation
- Based in Spain
