The role
Affirm is hiring a Software Engineer II, fullstack, for its Ads Platform, which lets merchant partners deploy budgets to reach targeted consumers within Affirm's Marketplace. Remote, open only to residents of nine listed Canadian provinces.
What you will do
- Break larger projects into tasks and deliver them in phases
- Build fullstack features for the Ads Platform
- Collaborate with product, design and analytics on ideation, constraints and trade-offs
- Create and monitor metrics and support on-call work
- Take part in team activities such as interviewing
What they ask for
- 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Experience shipping web apps with a declarative framework such as React
- Experience building APIs at scale in Python or Kotlin
- Comfort navigating a large code base and giving code review feedback
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Resident in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, PEI or Saskatchewan
