The role
Samsara is hiring a senior offensive AI security engineer on its Application Security team to use frontier AI models to find vulnerabilities in its cloud, software and firmware. Open to US residents except the San Francisco Bay, New York City and Washington, D.C. metro areas.
What you will do
- Assess Samsara's software, code and firmware for resilience against AI-driven and adversarial attacks, and implement fixes
- Find AI-specific and traditional vulnerabilities such as injection and IDOR using AI-driven offensive validation
- Build and test AI-enabled security tooling and drive its adoption across the security org
- Benchmark each new frontier model for security tasks and set release criteria and guardrails
- Support AppSec triage through an office-hours rotation and help run the bug bounty program
- Present findings to security and executive leadership and help shape AI-adoption strategy
What they ask for
- 8+ years in application security, vulnerability management, threat modeling or offensive security
- Hands-on experience building AI or agentic workflows for security use cases
- Experience integrating, securing or red-teaming AI systems such as LLMs and agentic workflows
- Security assessments across both software and hardware or firmware environments
- Experience creating secure-code solutions with engineers in languages such as Go
- Experience building AI and agentic solutions with GitHub and on AWS
- US resident outside the Bay Area, NYC and D.C. metro areas
