The role
Emerging Travel Group is hiring a Junior Data Analyst for its Finance Analytics team. You would support the finance department with ad hoc data requests, maintain reporting and reconciliation scripts, and build dashboards and data marts. The role requires working in the GMT+3 time zone.
What you will do
- Pull and prepare data with SQL for ad hoc finance requests
- Maintain and improve existing reporting and reconciliation scripts
- Check data quality and explain what the numbers show
- Research unit economics and plan-vs-actual performance
- Build dashboards and data marts
- Work with finance, commercial, marketing and product stakeholders
What they ask for
- 6 to 12 months in data analytics, consulting or a finance role with hands-on data work; internships count
- Confident SQL: joins, window functions, CTEs, aggregations and data quality checks
- Experience with a BI tool; the team uses Tableau and Metabase
- Good Excel skills including lookups, array functions, pivots and charts
- Understanding of metrics such as GMV, ARPU, margin, conversion and revenue
- English at B2 level or higher
- Able to work in the GMT+3 time zone
- Nice to have: Python (pandas, numpy), interest in finance, use of AI tools
