The role
Cohere is hiring a Lead Data Scientist for its Analytics and Data Insights team. You will lead experimentation, build predictive models for go-to-market decisions and manage a team of analysts and data scientists. Cohere is remote-friendly with offices in several cities.
What you will do
- Design and lead experimentation programs including A/B tests, bandits and causal inference
- Build forecasting, segmentation, propensity and opportunity-sizing models
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts and data scientists
- Set analytical priorities and push work from question to production
- Work with product, research, sales and finance on growth strategy
What they ask for
- Strong SQL, Python and Git
- Expertise in statistical inference, experimental design and predictive modeling
- Experience leading analytics or data science teams
- Ability to turn ambiguous business questions into rigorous analysis and clear recommendations
- Comfort managing multi-workstream roadmaps in ambiguity
- Familiarity with BigQuery, dbt, Looker or Airflow is nice to have
