Wealthsimple is hiring a founding Manager of Software Development for its Observability Platform team. The role is remote in Canada.
What you will do
- Hire and lead the observability engineering team
- Build the wide-event data model and instrumentation defaults
- Build the query foundation for engineers and AI agents
- Tie telemetry to client experience through SLOs
What they ask for
- 3+ years of engineering management
- Hands-on experience treating telemetry as a data problem
- Experience building an observability or production-data platform
- Fluency with OpenTelemetry and SLI/SLO design
- ClickHouse, Kafka or similar high-cardinality systems a plus
