The role
The company is hiring an Intermediate Backend Engineer for its Orbit team, which builds a Rust graph data service used by the company Duo agents and analytics features. The role is fully remote for candidates in the United States or Canada.
What you will do
- Build features in the Rust Knowledge Graph service, including query engine and indexing changes
- Add metrics, logging, runbooks and alerts to improve operational maturity
- Take part in on-call rotation as appropriate
- Work asynchronously with product, data, infrastructure and security teams
What they ask for
- Professional experience building and running backend systems in production
- Proficiency in a modern backend language and prior Rust experience or ability to ramp up quickly
- Practical experience using AI tools in development
- Comfort with asynchronous written communication across time zones
