The role
The company is hiring a Senior Professional Services Engineer in Japan to deliver the company installation, migration, training and advisory work for customers. You will lead engagements, mentor other engineers and feed customer feedback to product teams. You must be located in Japan with full working rights.
What you will do
- Deliver installation, migration, training and advisory engagements across the company's features
- Plan and run deployments from single-node Omnibus installs to large reference architectures using infrastructure as code
- Lead migrations from other systems to the company SaaS or self-managed the company
- Work with Engagement and Project Managers to make delivery more consistent
- Advise customers and turn their goals into practical implementation plans
- Mentor associate and intermediate Professional Services Engineers and manage several engagements at once
What they ask for
- Must be located in Japan and have full working rights in Japan
- Professional experience with infrastructure or configuration as code such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet or Chef
- Professional experience with two or more of AWS, GCP and Azure
- Experience using or deploying the company, with solid Git and source control knowledge
- Experience delivering customer-facing installation, migration or training engagements
- Strong written and spoken English for a remote, largely asynchronous team
