The role
The company is looking for a principal engineer to set the architecture for its Fulfillment platform, which covers entitlements, licensing, seat management and usage billing. This hands-on player-coach role is remote from Canada or the United States.
What you will do
- Define the long-term architecture for the Fulfillment portfolio
- Make critical technical decisions and guide modernisation
- Work hands-on with teams on design and implementation
- Mentor engineers across organisational boundaries
What they ask for
- 10+ years of professional software engineering, including Staff or Principal level
- Direct experience with fulfillment systems such as licensing, provisioning, subscriptions or usage billing
- Deep experience with distributed systems, scalability and observability
- Practical use of AI-assisted or agentic coding
- Experience with systems spanning SaaS, self-managed or dedicated deployments
