The role
The company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Session Replay, a new Grafana Cloud product that links frontend errors and performance data to session-level evidence. The role is remote and limited to candidates in USA EST time zones.
What you will do
- Own the technical direction of Session Replay across frontend, backend and data systems
- Evolve the backend architecture, including columnar storage for large session data, ingestion pipelines and query patterns
- Design investigation workflows linking replay with logs, metrics and traces across Grafana Cloud
- Work with Frontend Observability, Synthetic Monitoring and Core Grafana teams on cross-product features
- Join customer calls, gather feedback and help customers adopt Session Replay
- Improve engineering standards and mentor engineers
