The company is hiring a Senior Security Engineer for its Security Incident Response Team, covering the APAC window of a 24/7 follow-the-sun rotation. The role leads incident response for the company.com and the company and builds automation for detection and response. This listing is for Australia.
What you will do
- Lead end-to-end incident response for high-severity security events, from triage to recovery
- Investigate complex incidents in cloud environments using DFIR methods
- Work with Detection Engineering on SIEM use cases, alerting and telemetry pipelines
- Build automation and AI-assisted workflows to speed triage and investigation
- Run root cause analysis and post-incident reviews and maintain runbooks and playbooks
- Join a rotating on-call schedule and mentor other engineers
What they ask for
- Strong experience in security incident response and investigations in cloud-first environments
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR or detection engineering
- Experience with AWS and GCP
- Familiarity with threat intelligence and adversary tactics such as MITRE ATT&CK
- Experience with automation such as Python, scripting or SOAR platforms
- Experience using or administering Git/the company in a security or engineering context
- Able to cover the APAC time window and on-call rotation
