The role
The company is hiring a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead the Identity & Access Management Platform team, which owns authorization, authentication, permissions and audit logs across the product. The team is backend-heavy and works with AI agents.
What you will do
- Lead, hire, mentor and grow the IAM Platform engineering team
- Own delivery of the access platform: authorization engine, roles, SSO, MFA, SCIM, audit logs and API tokens
- Set the roadmap with product, security and engineering leadership
- Run the team AI-native, using agents for routing, scoping and status reporting
- Work with enterprise customers and security teams on access-control requirements
- Own on-call, safe migrations and reliability, and uphold the engineering bar
What they ask for
- 8+ years of professional software engineering building production SaaS
- 3+ years managing engineering teams, including senior engineers
- Hands-on identity and access management: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, MFA, SSO, SCIM and RBAC
- Proven use of AI tools and agentic workflows to cut busywork in a team
- Experience with enterprise SaaS and customer security and compliance requirements
- Track record of hiring and scaling engineering teams
- Enough technical depth to lead architecture discussions on high-impact systems
