The role
The company is hiring a Staff Software Engineer as the founding engineer of a new Enterprise Platform team within Enterprise Technology. The goal is to turn internal IT infrastructure, such as identity, device management and infrastructure as code, into self-service software.
What you will do
- Manage the device fleet as code, moving configuration from consoles into versioned, API-driven systems
- Manage identity systems and their app connections as code, including SSO and SCIM, through version control and CI/CD
- Build deployment pipelines and provisioning patterns, and set CI/CD standards
- Design and ship the APIs, CLIs and portals that make new-hire access and group membership automated and auditable
- Define the technical direction for the discipline and write the RFCs and docs future hires build on
What they ask for
- 6+ years building and operating production software at a technology company, owning ambiguous projects end to end
- Strong software engineering; production code in Python, TypeScript and Rust (not a sysadmin role)
- Deep IAM experience: SSO, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC and RBAC
- Fluency with Terraform and CI/CD
- Experience treating endpoint and fleet management as an API-driven engineering surface
- Track record of building self-service tooling that people adopted
- Comfort with ambiguity and building from scratch
- Bonus: Okta, Jamf or Intune; identity governance for AI agents
