The role
The company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Application Security team to protect user accounts through stronger authentication and session security. The position is West Coast (U.S.) based and can be remote.
What you will do
- Design and build full-stack, user-facing security features for the company's users
- Lead work to strengthen session security and authentication
- Operate and maintain security-critical authentication services
- Work with Product teams to ship account security tools and drive adoption of stronger authentication
- Identify and design responses to emerging threats to account security
- Build self-service, automated security controls and tools
What they ask for
- 5+ years securing production applications
- 3+ years programming in a general-purpose language such as Python, Go, Java or Rust
- Hands-on experience with WebAuthn, passkeys, FIDO2, MFA and session management
- Experience building and shipping production software, including security controls or guardrails
- Experience leading security projects with cross-functional groups
- Experience with cloud environments (Google Cloud used)
- Based on the U.S. West Coast
