The role
The company is hiring a senior full-stack engineer for the Cloud Integrations team in Grafana Cloud Observability, which builds the integrations that collect and visualize customer telemetry. The role is full-time and remote, open to candidates in the US and Canada working in EST.
What you will do
- Ship integration features end to end, from the React UI through Go backend services to the dashboards and alerts bundled with each integration
- Switch between frontend, Go services and Jsonnet monitoring mixins depending on what the work needs
- Own projects from problem statement to production, including talking to users and checking the result
- Write design proposals, run demos and argue for the team roadmap in cross-team discussions
- Contribute upstream to Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Grafana Alloy, and join the on-call rotation for owned services
What they ask for
- Interest in working across the full stack with a product-focused mindset, deciding what to build as well as how
- Experience on both backend and frontend; the team uses Go and TypeScript, and comparable languages are accepted
- Fluency with AI coding agents and LLM tooling in day-to-day work
- Working knowledge of the observability ecosystem: Prometheus, Grafana dashboards, alerting, and running these systems in production
- Strong written communication, since decisions are made in docs, issues and pull requests across several time zones
- Based in the US or Canada and able to work in the EST time zone
- Nice to have: open source contributions, Grafana plugin or dashboard experience, Jsonnet, OpenTelemetry Collector or Alloy
