The role
The company is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead its Platform Security Engineering team, which builds paved paths for identity and access, code shipping, cloud configuration and service operation. The role is remote and based on the US West Coast.
What you will do
- Lead and grow a team of software engineers working on company-wide security strategy
- Set and apply secure baselines for cloud infrastructure and own the security of cloud environments
- Manage infrastructure vulnerabilities for an engineering org with hundreds of developers
- Secure software supply chains from the dev environment through CI/CD to production
- Build identity and access management systems for humans and machines that support least privilege
- Advise on risk assessments, architecture designs, threat models and code reviews
What they ask for
- 3+ years as a people manager, with a team of 3+ security software engineers
- 3+ years securing systems with millions of users
- Experience building and securing cloud environments; the stack uses GCP, Cloudflare and AWS
- Experience writing software in a general-purpose language; the team uses Python, TypeScript and Rust
- Experience developing with agentic AI and a grasp of AI security practices
- Ability to write a roadmap rather than only follow one
- Located on the US West Coast
