The role
The company is hiring a Principal Engineer to set technical direction for its core product experiences. This is a senior individual contributor role with organization-level scope across clients, services and data platforms. Remote in Canada or the US.
What you will do
- Drive architecture and engineering standards across the product ecosystem
- Guide long-term architectural investments across client apps, distributed services and data platforms
- Set technical patterns and operational standards other teams build against
- Help integrate AI capabilities into core product experiences responsibly
- Align teams with different priorities on technical decisions

- Have designed and operated large-scale distributed systems
- Experience driving architecture across multiple teams or product domains
- Experience building customer-facing systems spanning clients, APIs, services and cloud
- Experience with event-driven systems, microservices or shared platform infrastructure
- Practical experience integrating AI or ML into production applications
- Privacy-preserving and security-conscious design instincts
- Clear communication with engineers and executives
- Based in Canada or the US
