The role
The company is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for its Search squad. You will scale the search infrastructure, built on Postgres and OpenSearch, that supports the company's AI features and workspace search.
What you will do
- Design search solutions that scale with a growing user base
- Improve search relevance, accuracy and speed
- Improve real-time indexing pipelines so results stay current
- Create measurement frameworks to evaluate search quality
- Build vector search capabilities
- Work with AI, backend and product teams to integrate search into new features
What they ask for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years as a search engineer or in a directly related role
- Production experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
- Experience with high-scale real-time ingestion and search serving in backend services
- Ability to optimize query parsing, indexing and relevance tuning
- Experience measuring and improving search quality
