The role
The company is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer for the Grafana Enterprise team, which builds the observability platform used by large-scale operators with security and regulatory needs. The backend is written in Go. The role is remote for candidates in the US and Canada.
What you will do
- Design and lead development of backend services, distributed systems and enterprise features at scale
- Improve the scalability, reliability, security and multi-tenancy of the Grafana platform
- Work with large customers, including cloud providers and global enterprises, on demanding distributed systems problems
- Drive projects from ideation through to production
- Take part in weekday 12-hour and weekend 24-hour on-call rotations
- Help hire and develop engineers, and contribute to open source

- Located in the US or Canada, with availability around meetings held roughly 14:00 to 17:00 UTC
- Willingness to take part in on-call rotations
