The role
The company, a Postgres development platform, is hiring an engineer for Multigres, its open-source distributed database that adds horizontal scaling to Postgres. The work covers sharding, consensus and replication. The role is fully remote and the company hires globally.
What you will do
- Design and build query routing logic for sharded databases.
- Build consensus and replication systems that support distributed durability.
- Develop materialization pipelines for migrations and change data capture.
- Contribute to connection pooling and workload isolation infrastructure.
- Work with the open-source community on Multigres development.
What they ask for
- Deep expertise in distributed databases and systems.
- Knowledge of database sharding, relational algebra and Postgres internals.
- Experience with consensus protocols such as Raft or Paxos and distributed transactions.
- Experience with stream processing, materialization and change data capture.
- Ability to build performant distributed systems with strong observability.
- Familiarity with low-latency infrastructure and network protocol optimization.
