The company, a home services marketplace app, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Site Reliability Engineering team, which keeps the platform reliable, secure and scalable. This listing is for candidates living in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada.
What you will do
- Design and maintain software and systems that improve availability, scalability and efficiency
- Set architectural direction for infrastructure and platform services
- Build tools and processes for deployment, change, service and infrastructure management
- Troubleshoot and debug critical systems across the software lifecycle
- Do capacity planning and demand forecasting to spot bottlenecks
- Take part in a rotating on-call
What they ask for
- Extensive fluency in AWS and Linux
- 5 years of experience managing infrastructure and systems
- Expertise in large-scale distributed systems and web protocols such as DNS, TLS, HTTP/S and TCP/IP
- Ability to read, write and debug code in production systems
- Knowledge of instrumenting and observing microservices in a production cloud
- Clear communication with cross-functional partners
- Live in Ontario or British Columbia
