The role
The company is hiring a Software Engineer for Metronome Infrastructure within its Revenue and Financial Automation team, which builds billing and revenue tools for fast-growing digital companies. The engineer builds and ships backend code for business-critical billing features.
What you will do
- Design the next generation of the company billing products
- Design, build, test and ship code daily, working with infrastructure, security, design and operations experts
- Work with stakeholders and customers in a user-first way
- Debug critical production issues across services and the stack
- Mentor other engineers
What they ask for
- 2+ years of backend software development experience
- Ability to write high-quality code in languages such as Go, Java or C/C++
- Hands-on experience building or contributing to large-scale distributed systems
- Strong collaboration skills across work streams
- Autonomy and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Preferred: event-driven architectures and usage-based billing or financial reporting experience
