The company, a Canadian financial services company, is hiring a Senior Software Developer for its Build Platform team, which builds internal developer tooling. What you will do
- Roll out containerized development environments across hundreds of services for engineers and coding agents.
- Build systems that verify changes quickly, including for AI-generated code.
- Make tests faster and more deterministic through flake detection, test selection and clearer failure output.
- Modernize core libraries and CLI tools behind the microservices architecture and automate machine setup.
- Build backend mocking and isolated testing for asynchronous workflows.
- Build automated scorecards on service health for each team.
What they ask for
- 7+ years of software development on a team, preferably a platform team.
- 7+ years with Ruby, Python, TypeScript or Kotlin.
- Experience building internal libraries, frameworks or tooling used by other engineers.
- Hands-on use of AI coding agents on production work.
- Experience building with LLMs and evaluating their output.
- Ability to use metrics to measure the impact of your work.
