The role
The company is hiring a Cloud Operational Engineer (Level 3) to be the final escalation point in its Cloud Operations team. The role runs live client platforms across Entra ID, Azure, Intune and Microsoft 365, and is an operations role, not a project role.
What you will do
- Triage and resolve platform alerts and lead response to major incidents
- Run identity and access operations in Entra ID, Azure RBAC and PIM, and app registrations
- Operate Microsoft 365, DNS, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop environments
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring incidents and drive preventive actions
- Write runbooks and standards and validate those used by Tier 1 and Tier 2
- Build PowerShell automation to remove repetitive work across multiple client tenants
What they ask for
- Senior experience in cloud operations as a final-escalation technical authority
- Strong knowledge of Entra ID, Azure, Intune and Microsoft 365
- Experience with Conditional Access, MFA, SAML federation and SCIM provisioning
- PowerShell scripting for safe, re-runnable automation
- Experience with data platform access in Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake or Azure SQL
- Ability to write clear documentation in Confluence
- Care with client data under SOC 2, ISO 27001 and UK GDPR obligations
