The role
GitLab is hiring a Senior Developer Advocate to show its DevSecOps platform, especially the Duo Agent Platform, to technical audiences. The role produces demos, videos and articles and engages with the developer community. It covers events across U.S. and Canadian time zones.
What you will do
- Learn the GitLab platform and its AI agent features and find real-world use cases worth showing
- Create videos, blog posts, presentations and social clips showing key use cases
- Script, record and edit product walkthroughs and demos, working with the video team on larger pieces
- Deliver product demos, join analyst briefings and run webinars and customer meetings
- Take part in the GitLab forum, Discord and other developer communities
- Pass hands-on product feedback to product teams and support sales with technical questions
What they ask for
- Hands-on technical experience with how software is built and shipped after code is written
- Understanding of AI in software development, including having built and run agentic systems
- Ability to explain technical products clearly in demos, recordings or talks
- Fluency in developer social platforms and communities
- Experience engaging customers, developers or technical communities
- Ability to work independently across sales, engineering and product
- Availability across U.S. and Canadian time zones and travel up to 20%
