The role
Coinbase is hiring a senior software engineer for its Compute Platform team, which runs the Kubernetes-based infrastructure every Coinbase service uses. The role is remote in the US, with quarterly in-person working sessions.
What you will do
- Build and run Kubernetes cluster management tooling and automation
- Build developer tooling for deploying and operating services
- Ship new compute features such as cron jobs and automated right-sizing
- Reduce toil and on-call load and improve observability
What they ask for
- 5+ years of software engineering
- 3+ years building and running Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems
- Proficient in Go, Python or Java
- Hands-on AWS or GCP experience (EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC)
- CNCF tools such as Helm, Prometheus, ArgoCD or Envoy
