The role
Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Infra Systems team in its Platform group. The team owns cloud networking, GCP paved roads and AWS infrastructure patterns. Remote-first with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Own cross-cutting infrastructure work spanning AWS, GCP and networking
- Build self-service tooling and paved-road defaults for provisioning cloud infrastructure
- Embed security and compliance guardrails with the Compute, Infra Security and Routing teams
- Standardize infrastructure across the multi-cloud environment
- Lead technical investigations and operational improvements across infrastructure boundaries
What they ask for
- 5+ years of software engineering, including 3+ years running production cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP
- Hands-on cloud networking: VPCs, transit gateways, DNS and load balancers
- Infrastructure-as-code experience, such as Terraform or Pulumi
- Proficiency in a backend language such as Go or Python for platform tooling
- Record of driving cross-team technical initiatives
- Attends quarterly in-person sessions
