The role
Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Developer Infrastructure group, which builds CI, build, deployment and test systems used by all Coinbase engineers. Remote-first, with quarterly in-person working sessions.
What you will do
- Design, build and operate CI, build, deployment orchestration and test infrastructure services
- Improve build and CI time, deploy speed and safety, and test feedback quality
- Own services end to end, including observability, SLOs and on-call
- Partner with engineering teams to turn pain points into platform improvements
- Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and mentor engineers
What they ask for
- 5+ years building and operating production software
- Strong distributed systems fundamentals and proficiency in Go or a similar language
- Record of shipping backend or platform systems from design to production
- Experience in CI/CD, build systems, release tooling or test infrastructure
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform and containers
- Observability tooling experience such as Datadog
- Attends quarterly in-person sessions
