The role
Coinbase is hiring a Senior Frontend Software Engineer for the Coinbase Card team in the Consumer Product Group. You will build the web and mobile experiences for the Coinbase One Card (credit) and Coinbase Card (debit) as both move onto one platform. Coinbase is remote-first with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Own frontend development for card experiences such as transactions, rewards, onboarding and account management on web and mobile
- Build new features such as authorized card users, reward offers and real-time transaction status trackers
- Work with product, design and backend engineers to scope and ship projects that lower customer support contact rates
- Find and fix frontend performance bottlenecks to improve latency and availability SLOs
What they ask for
- 5+ years of software engineering with deep React and React Native expertise
- Track record shipping consumer products end to end at high scale, with focus on performance and reliability
- Experience owning SLOs and improving latency and availability of user-facing flows
- Ability to mentor junior engineers as a senior voice on a mixed-level team
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
