The role
Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer for its Money Movement team in the Developer product group, building backend systems for stablecoin pay-ins, payouts, deposits and withdrawals. Remote-first company.
What you will do
- Own projects end to end as the directly responsible individual, from design to production
- Build backend systems and APIs that let businesses embed stablecoin payments
- Work with Product, Design, Infrastructure and Compliance on requirements
- Improve performance, scalability and reliability of distributed systems
- Do code reviews and contribute to architecture practices
What they ask for
- 2+ years building and operating backend systems, ideally in fintech, payments or crypto
- Proficiency in a backend language such as Go or Java
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or GCP) and distributed systems and API design
- Track record as owner of technical projects from design to production
- Experience with blockchain technologies such as stablecoins or on-chain payments
- Able to write technical design documents
