The role
Coinbase is hiring a staff backend engineer to own the architecture of its Payments platform, which powers fiat on- and off-ramps. The role is remote in the US, with quarterly in-person sessions.
What you will do
- Own technical strategy and architecture for the Payments platform
- Build high-volume payment systems with clear SLOs
- Set shared frameworks and coding standards
- Lead scaling and reliability work
- Mentor engineers
