The role
KittySpout, a DTC pet brand selling cat water fountains that also launched DoggySpout, is hiring a direct response copywriter to script Meta VSLs and ads. The team spends over $2M a month on Meta. The role is fully remote.
What you will do
- Plan and script direct response ads, with a focus on short and long form Meta VSLs and UGC ads.
- Write VSL briefs from angle and hook through script and structure, and hand them to editors.
- Design AI-driven concepts and hooks for paid video.
- Analyse Meta creative performance data and use it to improve the next round of ads.
- Research customers and competitors and report on creative results monthly and quarterly.
- Produce at least 15 ad briefs a week while keeping quality up.
What they ask for
- 3+ years of performance creative experience for DTC brands or at a creative agency.
- Proven VSL copywriting for direct response brands, both short and long form on Meta.
- Runs a current AI stack in production as part of the creative workflow.
- Able to read performance data in tools like Northbeam and Facebook Ads and turn it into strategy.
- Fluent English; fully remote role.
- Willing to work overtime or weekends when needed.
