The role
Reddit is hiring an Engineering Manager for its Knowledge Graph Platform team, which builds the AI-powered knowledge graph used by ads and consumer products. The role is 100% remote in the US and Canada, with preference for Eastern time zone.
What you will do
- Lead, coach and grow the team building the Knowledge Graph Platform
- Set the technical roadmap, including data and API contracts, reliability, observability and developer experience
- Apply LLM and agentic patterns to knowledge graph construction
- Set production standards such as SLOs, data quality measures, governance and change management
- Work with computational linguists, domain experts and the data labeler team on ontology and data coverage
- Work with internal teams to prioritize use cases in shopping, search, ads and feed models
What they ask for
- 8+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years managing and developing engineering teams
- Experience with AI/ML-powered or data-intensive platforms with multiple internal customers
- Ability to turn a technical system into a platform with data or service-level contracts and self-service adoption
- Strong judgment across distributed systems, backend services, data platforms and APIs
- Based in the US or Canada; Eastern time zone preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Preferred: knowledge graphs, ontology systems, entity resolution or search
