The role
Reddit is hiring a senior data scientist for safety enforcement, building models, rules and evaluation for detecting abuse on the platform. The role is fully remote within the United States.
What you will do
- Turn abuse risks and policy into signals, labels and detection approaches
- Prototype and evaluate models and rules and tune thresholds
- Monitor enforcement systems after launch
- Apply language models to detection and labelling with human oversight
What they ask for
- PhD with 4+ years or Master's with 8+ years in data science or a related quantitative role
- Applied experience in safety, fraud, integrity or another adversarial domain
- Experience with methods such as graph analysis, NLP, embeddings or behavioural modelling
- Possible exposure to sensitive content and on-call rotation
- Based in the US
