The role
SupportYourApp, a global outsourced support provider, is hiring an L3 Support Engineer to work remotely from the EU on a fixed overnight schedule. You will troubleshoot escalated backend, database and integration issues for a client's web and mobile products.
What you will do
- Investigate issues escalated from T1 across backend, databases and integrations
- Reproduce bugs in web admin consoles, mobile apps and backend APIs
- Analyze logs, error traces and metrics to find root causes
- Query production databases read-only to confirm data issues
- Apply small low-risk fixes such as config changes, data corrections and targeted patches
- Escalate complex problems to Engineering and keep runbooks and knowledge bases current
What they ask for
- English at C1 or higher, spoken and written
- Experience in technical support, SRE or engineering with strong troubleshooting and code-reading
- Customer-facing support experience
- Strong SQL on production-scale relational databases
- Working knowledge of PHP and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with AWS or another cloud provider, plus Sentry and Grafana-style tools
- Computer with 8 GB RAM and internet of at least 45 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up
- Schedule Monday to Friday, 10:30 PM to 7 AM GMT+11
