The role
The company is hiring a senior software engineer for the Financing Engineering team in its Institutional group. The team builds backend systems that manage loans such as portfolio margin, trade finance and agency lending for Prime Brokerage. The company is remote-first.
What you will do
- Own design and delivery of new financing products from architecture to production launch
- Build backend services, APIs and frameworks for loan lifecycle management, risk calculation and real-time position tracking
- Improve developer tooling, testing, monitoring and operational reliability
- Work with Product, Risk and Operations to turn requirements into scoped technical work each quarter
- Lead initiatives that strengthen resilience and reduce operational risk
What they ask for
- 5+ years of backend engineering with production ownership of high-reliability or financial services
- Experience designing and scaling service-oriented architectures in Go, Java or a similar language
- Experience with distributed systems where correctness, availability and data integrity matter
- Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical design reviews
- Familiarity with relational databases, gRPC/Protobuf and observability tools in the cloud
