The role
The company, a marketing automation platform, is hiring a senior backend engineer for its Platform team to build and run distributed infrastructure that handles very high event volumes. The role is remote for candidates in the Americas.
What you will do
- Design and evolve Go services that process billions of daily events and store petabytes of data
- Find bottlenecks and system issues across teams and lead fixes
- Take part in on-call to keep owned systems reliable
What they ask for
- Typically 10+ years building scalable distributed systems in Go or a similar statically typed language
- Deep experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, BigTable)
- Strong grounding in reliability, observability and fault tolerance
- Event-driven systems, message queues or data pipelines a plus
- On-call rotation participation
