The role
The company is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer for the Overseer team within FinHub, which builds a real-time layer that enforces financial correctness across the company fund flows. You will build detection systems and work with Payments and Trading teams.
What you will do
- Build and scale real-time invariant enforcement across fund flows, including the detection engine and onboarding tooling
- Own workstreams from designing correctness models with partner teams to production operation
- Develop AI-powered guardrails such as predictive consistency models and proactive invariant discovery
- Work with FinHub, Payments and Trading teams to turn financial rules into enforceable system invariants
- Mentor junior engineers on distributed systems and production practices
What they ask for
- 5+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems, ideally in payments, reconciliation or financial systems
- Proficiency in a backend language such as Go, Ruby or Python, with platform-level infrastructure experience
- Ability to own workstreams end to end in ambiguous environments
- Experience with streaming infrastructure (Kafka, Flink, Spark) and data stores such as Postgres or DynamoDB
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
